"Rode with Luxesmith after the F1 race and it was honestly the best part of the night. Super smooth ride, professional and on time even with the crazy traffic. Way better than trying to deal with Uber after a big event. Highly recommend if you want something stress-free and high-end."

Mateo Guerra GaldámezGoogle review · F1 race weekend

"We come every year from France with our delegation for the SXSW event. When everything is busy and crazy downtown, Evan and his team are amazing. The flexibility, the service, the vehicles are impeccable. We are proud to be repeat guests."

Alexandre VisageParis, France · Major-event weekends

"I had a great experience working with Evan and his team at Luxesmith. His team showed up on time, got us there quickly and safely, and when we had a small change, Evan was quick to figure out a solution. Would highly recommend Luxesmith for any Austin executive transportation!"

How it works

How Luxesmith handles race weekend.

Race days are booked as dedicated 10-hour reservations: the industry standard for COTA weekends, and the only model that actually works in race traffic. Your vehicle and chauffeur are yours for the day: use them the whole time or not at all.

One chauffeur, all weekend
The same chauffeur from arrival through departure. They know your hotel, your schedule, and your name. No explaining yourself to a new driver every leg.
Your schedule changes; the car doesn’t
Qualifying runs long, dinner moves, someone lands a paddock invite. You text your chauffeur, not an app. Extra time simply bills in 15-minute increments at the same rate.
No re-booking nine separate rides
One reservation covers AUS, the hotel, COTA all three days, dinners, and departure. The vehicle is yours for the day, so bags, jackets, and purchases stay in the car. You book once and stop thinking about it.
Fixed pricing, agreed in advance
Your price is in writing before the weekend starts. No surge on Sunday night when everyone leaves at once. That’s the whole point.
Drop-off logistics handled before you land
We coordinate around your parking and hospitality credentials so circuit drop-off and pickup are planned, not improvised. Every Luxesmith F1 booking is paired with a COTA parking pass: yours or one we arrange.
Chauffeurs who have worked COTA race weekends
Access routes, staging areas, where traffic actually breaks: our team works from real-time traffic and routing updates throughout race weekend, not a navigation app’s guess.

We’ve done this at the highest level. At the 2025 United States Grand Prix, Luxesmith provided dedicated on-call transportation for one of COTA’s most exclusive trackside hospitality suites, moving its guests to and from the circuit throughout race weekend. It’s why we plan F1 logistics with confidence.

Race-weekend rates

Simple, fixed, in writing.

SUVs are the race-weekend workhorses: room for race-day bags, comfortable in stop-and-go circuit traffic. For larger groups, our 14-passenger executive Sprinter keeps everyone in one vehicle.

Race days book as dedicated 10-hour reservations at a fixed hourly rate, locked in writing before the weekend. Book one race day or the full weekend. Extra time past your block bills in 15-minute increments at the same proportional rate.

A COTA parking pass is required with every race-day booking: provide your own or ask us to arrange one and build it into your quote.

Booking for someone else? Or something nicer?

Executive assistants, travel managers, and corporate planners: one coordinator handles your whole program: multiple vehicles, passenger manifests, written confirmations, corporate invoicing, and changes by text. You book it once and stop thinking about it.

The same goes for the vehicle itself. If the weekend calls for something beyond the fleet above (a Mercedes-Maybach, a Rolls-Royce Ghost, or another special request), tell us what you have in mind. We arrange these quietly and ahead of time.

About availability: dedicated race-weekend vehicles across Austin commonly book out months before the race, and multi-day reservations close first. Our fleet is finite and assigned in booking order. If F1 weekend is on your calendar, it should be on ours too.

Race weekend, honestly

Getting out of COTA is the hard part.

COTA sits about 15 miles southeast of downtown on two-lane country roads. The drive that takes 30 minutes in September can stretch toward three hours on race days. When the checkered flag drops, hundreds of thousands of people leave at once. Three things first-time visitors don’t know:

Parking Passes Required
COTA Blvd is closed to unpermitted vehicles
Per COTA’s policy, any vehicle without a valid parking pass cannot access COTA Blvd during the Grand Prix. No pass, no entry. That includes private cars.
They Sell Out
Parking passes cost real money, and they sell out
Official lots are currently listed from $52 to about $135 (starting prices, plus fees, as of summer 2026) depending on lot; full weekends in official lots have run roughly $275-$500 in past years. They have typically sold out before race weekend.
Uber Won’t Get You There
Rideshares can’t reach the gates
Uber and Lyft are routed to COTA’s designated drop-off lot. From there it’s a tram or a 10-15 minute walk to the Grand Plaza. After the race, you re-book at surge pricing, wait in lines that can run for hours, and then find your driver in the crowd.
Rideshare on race day
  • Surge pricing exactly when 400,000 fans head for the exits
  • Re-book every leg, every day, and hope a driver accepts the trip
  • A driver cancelling can add an extra 30 minutes to your departure
Your Luxesmith chauffeur
  • A fixed price locked in writing before the weekend: no surge, ever
  • One reservation covers every leg of your weekend
  • Your driver is always ready and reachable by text or call
Our parking-pass policy

Every Luxesmith F1 booking must be paired with a COTA parking pass, so your drop-off and pickup are planned, never improvised at a police barricade.

You provide one: tell us which lot or credential you hold and we plan around it.
Or we arrange one: we purchase the pass and build the cost into your quote, at cost.
Check your package first: guests holding premium hospitality or suite packages often have parking or access credentials included. Check yours before buying anything.
Buy official parking passes

Passes are sold by COTA (fulfilled by Ticketmaster). Buying your own? Tell us which lot on the inquiry form. Not sure yet? We’ll sort it out on the first call.

Airport & private aviation.

Austin-Bergstrom (AUS)
  • About 10 miles from COTA and 8 from downtown, the closest major airport to the circuit
  • Most guests arrive Wednesday-Thursday and depart Sunday night or Monday
  • Live flight tracking: your chauffeur meets you in baggage claim, helps with your bags, and walks you to your car, staged curbside in the official black car lanes
  • Sunday departures: allow at least 3 hours between the checkered flag and your flight. Post-race traffic is real
Private aviation & FBOs
  • FBO transfers for Signature, Atlantic Aviation, Million Air, and Austin Executive Airport
  • Tail-number coordination: we track your aircraft, not a published schedule
  • Planeside or lobby pickup as the FBO allows
  • Multi-vehicle meets for larger parties, coordinated by one point of contact

Race-weekend FAQ

Questions guests actually ask.

COTA is about 15 miles southeast of downtown (roughly 25-30 minutes without traffic), but the drive can stretch toward three hours on race days. Your options: COTA’s official shuttles (typically from Waterloo Park downtown and the Travis County Expo Center), rideshare to the designated drop-off lot plus a tram or 10-15 minute walk, driving yourself with a pre-purchased parking pass, or a dedicated chauffeured vehicle reserved for the day, which is what we provide.
Yes. That’s exactly how race-weekend service works at Luxesmith. You reserve a vehicle and chauffeur by the day (10-hour blocks), for one day or the full weekend. Your chauffeur handles hotel, circuit, dinner, and airport legs on your schedule, and you can extend in 15-minute increments if the day runs long.
Per COTA’s current policy, any vehicle without a valid parking pass cannot access COTA Blvd during the Grand Prix, and rideshares are routed to a designated lot with a tram to the Grand Plaza. That’s why every Luxesmith F1 booking is paired with a COTA parking pass: yours, or one we arrange and build into your quote. We plan drop-off and pickup around your credentials before race day, so nothing is improvised at a barricade.
As early as you can. Dedicated race-weekend vehicles across Austin commonly book out months before the race, and official parking passes have typically sold out in advance as well. Multi-day reservations close first; single race days are usually the last availability to go.
For COTA days, a full-day reservation is the only approach we recommend: race-day traffic makes individual transfers unreliable in both directions, which is why race days book as 10-hour blocks. For arrival and departure days without circuit traffic, standard point-to-point airport transfers work well and cost less.
Yes. Arrival and departure transfers between AUS (or the private FBOs: Signature, Atlantic Aviation, Million Air, and Austin Executive) and your hotel can be added to your reservation. For Sunday-night departures, allow at least three hours between the checkered flag and your flight.
Yes. One coordinator, one manifest, one invoice, with sedans, SUVs, and our 14-passenger executive Sprinter moving together on a shared schedule. Changes are handled by text with your coordinator, not by re-booking apps seat by seat.
Yes. Downtown hotels including the Four Seasons, Austin Proper, Fairmont, JW Marriott, The Driskill, Hotel ZaZa, W Austin, The LINE, and the Commodore Perry Estate are routes we run regularly, race weekend and year-round.
Circuit of The Americas (9201 Circuit of The Americas Blvd, Austin, TX 78617) is roughly 15 miles southeast of downtown Austin and about 10 miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Without traffic, 15-30 minutes; on race days, plan for much longer, and let your chauffeur pick the departure time.
No. Your price is fixed and agreed in writing before race weekend. If you keep the vehicle past your reserved block, additional time bills in 15-minute increments at the same proportional rate, never a surge multiplier.
